1. acceptance
By using the Brain Debt website, joining the waitlist, buying a founder seat, or using the product when it launches, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or purchase a founder seat.
2. who operates brain debt
Brain Debt is owned and operated by Unfair Advantage LTD. You can contact us at julian@braindebt.app.
3. eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the site, join the waitlist, purchase a founder seat, or use Brain Debt when it launches. Brain Debt is intended for adults and working professionals, not children or students under 18.
4. what brain debt is
Brain Debt is a workday productivity product. The planned first version is a macOS app that locks access to selected apps or websites until you complete a short thinking warm-up. Brain Debt is not a medical device, therapy product, diagnostic tool, or treatment.
We do not claim that Brain Debt prevents, treats, diagnoses, cures, or improves any disease, disorder, or clinical condition.
5. founder seats
A founder seat is a pre-launch purchase that helps fund and shape the first version of Brain Debt. Unless stated otherwise on the checkout page, the founder seat price is $49, charged once, with no subscription.
- Founder seats include 2 years of Brain Debt access starting on the day the product launches.
- Founder seats include build updates and the chance to give feedback before launch.
- Founder seats are limited to the quantity shown on the website.
- Founder pricing is pre-launch pricing and may not be offered again after launch.
6. launch timing
Brain Debt is scheduled to ship by December 31, 2026. Product scope, features, platform support, and timing may change as we build, but the refund rights below remain part of these terms.
7. refunds
You can request a full refund anytime before launch for any reason. If Brain Debt does not ship by December 31, 2026, founder seat holders can request a full refund.
After launch, founder seat holders have a 60-day refund window. To request a refund, email julian@braindebt.app from the email used to purchase the founder seat.
8. accounts and access
When Brain Debt launches, you may need an account to use the product. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account. Do not share access in a way that abuses the founder seat or circumvents usage limits.
9. acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, copy, resell, or exploit Brain Debt without permission;
- interfere with the site, product, payments, security, or other users;
- use Brain Debt for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
- submit false payment, identity, refund, or support information;
- attempt to access systems, data, or accounts you are not authorized to access.
10. intellectual property
Brain Debt, the website, product design, copy, software, branding, and related materials are owned by Unfair Advantage LTD or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.
11. feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you allow us to use that feedback without owing you compensation. You still own your own original content, but we may use your feedback to build, improve, market, and support Brain Debt.
12. third-party services
Brain Debt may rely on third-party services such as Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
13. disclaimers
Brain Debt is provided as is and as available. We are building the product in public and cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for every use case.
Brain Debt is not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional for medical, mental health, or clinical questions.
14. limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Unfair Advantage LTD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of Brain Debt.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Brain Debt is limited to the amount you paid us for the founder seat or product giving rise to the claim.
15. changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the website, founder seat, or product changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects founder seat holders, we will try to notify them by email.
